KP of Hawaii
was established in Honolulu in 1958. Since then, it
has expanded from 5,000 initial members to 227,000 members
today. The care they provide is based on a relationship
between the Kaiser Permanente Health Plan and the Hawaii
Permanente Medical Group. This region includes a 250-bed
acute care hospital, 28-bed nursing facility, and nine
outpatient clinics on Oahu alone, not to mention the
remaining clinics located on the other islands.

Family Health Insurance Options from Kaiser Permanente Hawaii (HI)
$15 Plan features a $1500
out-of-pocket maximum per person and a limit of $4500
per family for 3 or more members. There is no lifetime
maximum, and each doctor’s visit, specialist consultation
or outpatient surgery requires a $15 registration fee.
This plan also has coverage for inpatient, mental health,
chemical dependency, emergency, and other services.
$20 Plan has most of
the same benefits of the $15 plan, except your registration
fees are $20 instead of $15. In addition, this plan
is not as comprehensive. It does not cover prescription
drugs, vision, or alternative medicine care.
