Health Plan of Nevada has been around since before the Depression. Opened in 1928, they are the oldest and the largest governmentally-qualified HMO in Nevada. These coverage plans vary in deductible and premium costs, so no one is left out of the mix. Plans currently offered to families include:
Distinct Advantage HMO: Four options allow families to choose a plan appropriate for their health coverage needs. Families pay a maximum co-pay per ranging from $4000 and up. Physician's visits are covered with a $10 co pay on the lowest price plan; co pay options are also available. Hospital/emergency room coverage is $150 or more per co pay.
B Series Premium Advantage Plans: Deductibles range from $500 to $5000. Preventive health, hospital coverage, medical services and laboratory services are included, some at no cost to the member. After the deductible, hospital services are covered at $150 per admission.
C Series Premium Advantage Plans: These plans offer the same benefits, except with a higher co-pay.
