company to CareFirst of Maryland and Group Hospitalization

Plans currently offered include:
BlueChoice HMO (referral-based):
preventive care, routine exams, well-child
immunizations, discount dental program, hospitalization,
and a three-tier prescription plan. Referral needed
to see a doctor other than the one you chose when
enrolling. They also offer a non-referral plan (BlueChoice
HMO Open Access).
BluePreferred PPO: Well-child
immunizations, routine exams, catastrophic coverage,
prescription drug plan, even allergy testing is covered.
When traveling out-of-state, this plan offers nationwide
coverage through its BlueCard.
Personal Comp: Members
pay a portion of the cost of care they receive, depending
on what service they receive and what doctor they
see. Adult/child wellness, preventive exams, surgery/hospitalization,
and maternity care are covered services.
Preferred Provider Organization
(PPO/PPN): routine preventive care (including
immunizations), hospital/E.R. services, maternity
care, allergy testing and prescription drug coverage
are offered through this plan.

(PPO): This plan offers preventive care such
as immunizations and physician visits, as well as
prescription drug coverage and 365-day hospitalization.

plan, the HSA saver. In addition, they offer low cost

and a myriad of options. They currently hold a B++pd
(Very good) rating from A.M. Best, one of the biggest
insurance carrier ratings companies.
