traditional indemnity and HMO (health management organization)
plans, as well as plans for individual children. HMO
plans are designed to have a single physician, the primary
care physician, coordinate each patient's health care.

by Blue Cross Northeastern Pennsylvania:
* BlueCare Cooperative-
This indemnity plan is designed to cover you and your
family for regular visits and in the event of an emergency.
The plan covers regular doctor visits along with a range
of hospitalization benefits, such as maternity, x-rays
and anesthesia. Also included are preventative services,
such as mammography and pediatric immunizations.
* Children's Health Insurance
Program- This program covers a range of vital
services with no copay, coinsurance or deductible charges.
Benefits include: immunizations, routine visits and
well-child care, in-patient hospital, authorized out-patient
services and prescription drugs.
Additional Health Insurance Plans from BC Northeastern Pennsylvania (NE PA)
BC Northeastern Pennsylvania also administers
a state-sponsored HMO plan for adults whose employer
does not offer health insurance. Some restrictions apply,
but residents of Pennsylvania ages 19-64 may qualify
for a low-premium, full-coverage basic health plan.
Benefits include doctor visits, emergency care and prescription
drugs.
