Blue AccessSM: This PPO allows the customer access a large network of doctors and nationwide coverage with BlueCard benefits. Also included are prescription drug benefits, programs to help babies and maternity. Discounts available on alternative health care, eyeglasses and hearing aids.
Blue Preferred (HMO): This HMO plan is comprehensive, offering well-child care, preventive treatments, eye exam coverage, maternity, mental health and prescription drug benefits. There are no deductibles to meet either. Extras include eyewear and hearing aid discounts, and enrollment in any number of wellness programs. This plan is only available in some areas.
RateSaver: This plan offers less comprehensive coverage in exchange for a lower cost. Hospitalization and physician visits are still available, but maternity isn't offered. Individuals still find the same discounts on eyewear, hearing aids and other wellness products. Members enroll in a generic prescription drug plan.
AllianceCHOICE Individual: This plan has a zero deductible option; office visits, preventive care and the like all use a co-pay. Prescription drug coverage is available, as is maternity.
Hospital/Surgical Plan: This plan focuses on hospital and emergency care and has a family deductible. Immunizations for children five and under are covered, but doctors' visit are not. Prescription drug coverage is optional.
