In addition, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia offers residents in Georgia plenty of options when it comes to keeping their loved ones healthy.

Blue Value Select: four different deductible plans offer families maternity, hospitalization and prescription coverage(after a $200 deductible). There is a co-pay for preventive care and well-child/adult. Three deductible options must be utilized for family coverage.
Blue Value: Deductibles range between $1000-$10,000. It has a 70/30 co-insurance rate for normal coverage options. There is no maternity offered in upper-level deductible options. After the first six physician visits (which are co-pay) charges work off of co-insurance amounts.
FlexPlus Plan: This indemnity plan covers a wide range of health options; its deductible is $2500 per year. Medical coverage is extensive and involves a 20%co-insurance amount for prescription, office visits, child and adult preventive care and mental health. The higher deductible levels include maternity coverage.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Georgia also offers a consumer-driven option through its BlueChoice High Deductible Health Plan, allowing consumers to place money in a tax-advantaged savings account for use when it is needed. Add to that the BlueChoice Dental plan, and the carrier is a veritible ”vending machine” of insurance coverage. Perhaps this is why BCBS Georgia has consistently received excellent ratings from the largest carrier ratings companies.
