Arkansas Blue Cross/Blue Shield offers families plenty of options when it comes to keeping their loved ones healthy. Their coverage plans vary in deductible and premium costs, leaving no one out of the mix. Plans currently offered to families include:
Blue Solution PPO: This plan offers major medical coverage. It has four deductible levels (two are required for family coverage) with an optional maternity rider. Prescription plans offered pay 50% after a $250 deductible, and wellness benefits are fully covered.
Basic Blue PPO: After a $7500 deductible, this plan covers 80% of health costs due to major catastrophic injury. Prescriptions are covered 50% after a $250/person deductible. An optional rider to cover Physician office visits is available.
HSA Blue Pro: This consumer-driven plan is similar to the Blue Solution plan, providing comprehensive coverage, an optional maternity rider and 100% of wellness care up to $500/year per person. There are two levels to the Blue Pro plan, the regular and PLUS. Prescription coverage is not offered in the regular plan. Both plans offer an optional in-hospital stay indemnity rider.

Arkansas Blue Cross/Blue Shield also offers a short-term insurance plan for those who need temporary insurance of between one and six months. With this plan, consumers pay an up front fee determined by proposed length of coverage, and after this deductible is paid, the plan pays 100% up to $10,000. In addition, they offer low cost dental care (Bluecard Dental) and a wellness program vision discount. BlueCross Blue Shield's many PPO plans offer enrollees peace of mind and a myriad of options.
