management company, AmeriHealth began in New Jersey in 1995 and has expanded to surrounding states. A provider
of HMOs, PPOs and traditional indemnity plans, AmeriHealth
was recently awarded the rating of “Excellent”
from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NSQA),
a non-profit independent review board for managed care
organizations.
For individuals with families, AmeriHealth
offers three HMOs, all of which have zero deductibles.
In each plan, you are assigned to a coordinating physician
from their provider network who will oversee your care
for all of your health needs. Copays for all visits
are low, usually $10-30 and cover 50% of prescriptions.
There are no lifetime maximums for any of their HMO

network of participating hospitals and specialists for

AmeriHealth 65 HMO brings
the benefits of an HMO to customers who are covered
with Medicare. Featured elements include a network primary
care physician (PCP), additional network physicians
and facilities, as well as wellness programs, preventive
programs, chronic condition control programs, and a
discount prescription program.
AmeriHealth Mercy provides
service for individuals under Medicaid and State Children's
Health Insurance Programs. The range of services in
this program is wide, was designed to meet the special
needs of this unique group.
